The Canterbury Auction Galleries
Proud sponsors of the Restaurant of the Year award
Situated in the centre of the historic Cathedral City of Canterbury are the long established auction rooms of The Canterbury Auction Galleries, Kent’s leading Auctioneers & Valuers of Fine Art, Antiques and Collectables.
Established in 1991, they have a proven track record of achieving London prices and yet retaining local professionalism and attention to detail.
They hold a two day auction every six/seven weeks, selling the full range of antiques and collectables from jewellery to furniture. These sales are extensively publicised via a fully illustrated catalogue, together with local and national advertising. They hold lengthy viewing sessions for each sale and all of the auctions are available online.
Anyone is welcome to view and bid at the sales, either traditionally in person, by written or telephone bids or by real-time internet bidding which they offer for all sales. These provisions enable them to offer the best possible service for clients locally, nationally and internationally. Whether you are buying or selling, they can offer you a first class service.
A free valuation morning is held most Fridays, between 10am to 1pm, where specialists are available to handle and appraise any item brought to them. In addition to this, they also offer free advisory visits to your home or premises should your items be too large or numerous to bring in. Transport to the salerooms can be arranged with reputable local carriers.
Their convenient location with excellent road and rail links provides easy access to all buyers who wish to attend in person. They are situated opposite a large council car park. For buyers who are unable to attend, they offer commission, telephone and internet bidding options.
They also specialise in the production of comprehensive written valuations for Probate or Insurance purposes. One of their specialists will be happy to visit your home to provide a confidential valuation from a single item to complete contents.
